Members
David B. Himelman, of East Brunswick,
concentrates his practice in all aspects of real estate, environmental law, land use and acquisition,
administrative and municipal law, including, energy and public utilities. He has handled all aspects of
commercial and residential real estate transactions. He has extensive experience in all aspects of environmental
law and development, including site remediation, insurance coverage litigation, permitting and enforcement,
site acquisition, regulatory approvals, construction contracting and claims. In addition, Himelman
represents clients in the health care industry. Himelman, who is admitted to practice in New Jersey and
Pennsylvania, served as New Jersey State Senator to complete the unexpired term of former state Senator
Jack Sinagra of the 18th district. He has served as Township Attorney for East Brunswick, North Brunswick
and Randolph Township. In addition, he has served as counsel for the Borough of Milltown Planning Board,
Ford Avenue Redevelopment Agency, Franklin Township Municipal Ethics Board, and East Brunswick Sewage Authority.
Mr. Himelman is a member of the New Jersey State, Pennsylvania and Middlesex County Bar Associations.
He is an active member of numerous community, charitable and professional organizations and
serves on the board of directors of the East Brunswick Jewish Center. David Himelman is a graduate of Rutgers
University and received his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
Lawrence H. Wertheim,
of Marlboro, counsels and litigates commercial business issues with a particular emphasis
on restrictive covenant litigation, real estate disputes, community association litigation, franchise law,
utilities, general business and contract disputes. Wertheim is the former chair of the Franchise Law Committee
of the New Jersey State Bar Association (2003-2004) and is the author of a chapter in New Jersey Condominium
and Community Association Law, published by Gann Laws Books, which concerns the enforcement of restrictive
covenants by community associations. In recent years, Mr. Wertheim's legal arguments have resulted in precedent
setting decisions in the areas of corporate governance, title insurance and community association law,
which have been published nationally. Wertheim represents condominium and homeowner's associations, real
estate developers, as well as health care professionals. Wertheim gives periodic lectures on franchise
law in conjunction with the Small Business Development Center and has spoken before the Chancery Section of
the Middlesex County Bar Association. He is certified as a mediator and served as the original chair of
the Middlesex County Bar Association's Committee On Alternative Dispute Resolution. Wertheim is admitted
to practice in New Jersey and New York and serves on the board of directors of Marlboro Jewish Center,
as well as, serving as chair of various committees. Wertheim is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania,
where he earned degrees from the College of Liberal Arts and the Wharton School of Business. He received
his law degree from the Boston University School of Law, where he was named a G. Joseph Tauro Scholar.
Stephen R. Geller,
of West Orange, concentrates his practice in real
estate, land use and environmental litigation and regulatory matters,
and commercial transactions. Mr. Geller has defended cases before the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other state and governmental
agencies. He has extensive experience in all aspects of environmental
law and development, including site remediation, insurance coverage
litigation, permitting and enforcement, site acquisition, regulatory
approvals, construction contracting and claims. Geller has served as
counsel to both the New York City Department of Transportation and Consolidated
Edison Company of New York, where he handled complex regulatory and
commercial transactions. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and
New York. Stephen Geller is a graduate of Polytechnic University of
New York where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
and a Master of Science degree in Transportation Planning and Engineering.
He received his law degree, magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School
where was an editor of the Law Review and a member of the Moot Court
Honor Society.
